This page contains some
more ideas for easy designs to apply to objects using brightly coloured
paper shapes.
It is possible to buy some shapes that
have already been cut-out. Alternatively it is possible to buy sheets of
paper and cut out the shapes yourself either freehand or using a
template.
One idea would be to create a picture,
like the scene on the fire screen. To give it a dramatic 'art deco'
look, outline the shapes with a dark colour. The edges of pictures and
articles like the blotter would be neatened and sealed together with a
binding called 'passe-partout', It is also used here to mark
straight lines on the objects. |
