Over the summer we have been visiting a selection of the many gardens in Britain that are open to the public every year. 

In these pages you will find the first of these gardens, plus a fact file telling you about a scheme that exists to allow visits to the gardens of ordinary people. In the future we hope to feature lots more of these gardens.
