A single red rose and a shaded border
has been worked as a pincushion here but could be used in many other projects. I think it would make a
pretty badge or panel to add to larger needlework projects, or to sew onto a bag
or clothing. Or it could be made into a little purse with a zip to carry
your precious items.
The design derives from a 19th
century Berlin woolwork pattern. I took this single motif from a larger and more
complex Berlin chart.
The pincushion has been stitched in 10 Count Canvas on
fabric canvas in tent stitch.
The pincushion measures 13cm (5.1
inches) square (measured along each side of the pincushion).
