This word is used in two different ways in this article. The scarf is 'becoming' damaged when it starts to be damaged. If an article of clothing is 'becoming' it means it looks attractive on the wearer. Here the bow looks very good and so is 'becoming'. It is rather an old-fashioned word that is not much used now, but often appears in older literature. |
