this beautiful! This cushion has been worked on a background of ivory
taffeta. The magazine states that the design is derived from antique
textiles from the time of Louis Seize. The central emblem of a dove and
true lovers knots that surround it are typical of this period.
Five shades of blue silk are used for the ribbons and the roses and surrounding flowers are worked in various shades of pink and yellow. The central dove is pale grey and white. You would certainly be proud of yourself if you created a cushion as lovely as this. |
