Lace Sachet レースサシェ |

| This
intricate sachet combines a number of different techniques. A sachet is
just a general term used to describe a small bag for all sorts of
articles. Needlework sachets were often used for handkerchiefs, brush sets,
underwear and so on.
The central panel here has an antique design described as heraldic dragons, made from bobbin lace. An attractive bobbin lace has been used for the edging of the sachet. The panels surrounding the centre are broderie anglaise, whilst the corner panels are decorated with embroidered net. To finish off the design a fine trim of ribbon has been added to frame the central panel. |

多くのテクニックを複雑に組み合わせて作られたサシェ。サシェとはいろんなものを入れるための小さな袋をさす一般的な語です。ニードルワークのサシェはハンカチ、ブラシセット、下着などを入れるのによく使われていました。 中央部のパネルはharaldic dragonsといわれる竜の紋章をデザインしたボビンレースです。縁にはすばらしいボビンレースが使われています。中央パネルを囲んでいるのはブローダリーアングレーズといわれもので、コーナーのパネルはネットに刺繍がほどこされたものです。さらにリボンでトリミングして仕上げてあります。 -intricate 入り組んだ、複雑な -heraldic 紋章の |
