Seating is provided outside the pub so that customers can sit and have their food and drinks here if the weather is good.

 We call these benches with integral seating 'picnic tables'. You often find them outside pubs or cafes. It's great to have a picnic, but I don't think you would be very popular if you brought your own food to eat here. Sometimes there is a sign pointing this out. It usually states that -

パブの外にイスがあって、お天気がよければ外で食べたり、飲んだりできます。

写真の右にあるようなイスとテーブルがひとつにつながっているベンチをピクニックテーブルと呼びます。よくパブやカフェの店外においてあります。ピクニックは楽しいのですが、自分で食べ物をここに持ち込むのはあまり歓迎されないと思います。お断りのサインを出している店もあります。普通、次のように書いてあります：

 ' Tables are solely for the use of customers and only food purchased on the premises may be consumed here'.　（テーブルは店のお客様のためのものです。ここで購入した食べ物を食べるときだけお使いいただけます。）
