I recently spent a few early autumn days in the Lake District. On one day I went on a very beautiful lakeside walk. Here are a few of the pictures I took.

We set off from the town of Keswick on a wonderfully sunny Sunday morning. You can catch this ferry from the edge of town. The ferry does a full circuit of Derwentwater, stopping off at various jetties, where you can step off.

Mind you, we were very lucky with the weather. On the following morning I stopped by the same place. Just look at the contrast. You could hardly see the hills for the driving rain.
