Can you read the inscription beneath the picture? It says ' Newest Fashions for April 1831. Ball, Morning and Evening Dresses'. 

The dress draped with lace (on the left) is decorative enough to wear to a ball. The 'Morning' dress in the centre is for everyday wear and the yellow dress on the right is suitable for general evening wear.
